The Iraqi former president Saddam Hussien hanged at 6am local time today . Like Melese now he was fully supported by the west in particular the US when he waged war on neighbouring Iran. But his un expected move to occupy the oil rich Quait and his link with the USSR made him their arch enemy.
Since then he faced continous sanction until the final invasion of Iraq which overthrow his dictatorial regime and lead to his capture in Tikrit. After a year old trial his final moment came today at dawn.
