Since the creation of Somalia as a state in 1960 there has been a conflict between Ethiopia and Somalia in 1964 during King silase’s government and 1977/78 during the Derug. In both cases the war was initiated by Somalian government willing to create the great Somalia state.
After the defeat of the 1978 war Siad Barre’s government became unstable and the internal conflict between the regions started in 1978 as Siad barre’s government tried and failed to control the fighting in the Northern part of Somalia. The conflict between different tribes continued in great extent until the fall of the Siad Barre’s government in 1991. After that Siad Barre escaped to Nigeria and died there.
After that there wasn’t any form of central government in Somalia until now. Because of a heavy draught caused by the combination of both human and natural made disasters the international community wanted to help. an agreement has reached to send Indian and Jordanian soldiers to keep the peace and help the victims of both natural disasters and war.
The frequent attack on the peace keeping force and its inability to protect its own soldiers forced the US to send the troops to reinforce the peace. After the humiliation withdrawal of the US troops in Somalia in losing eighteenth of its soldiers former friends now pros Shabia and woyane tried and failed by intervening in Somalia in sending their troops in 1993.
There after Somalia became a breeding ground for different kind of Islamic extremist groups among them El-Hage Al-Qeadas Affilate in Somalia believed to be responsible for the bombing of US embassy in Kenya and the failed attempt to down the Israeli Air liner. Melese Zenawi then got involved by using his divide and rule policy to defeat some group of EL- Hage in Somalia in which he attracted a big friend USA.

The transitional government of Somalia stayed for one year in Kenya before it managed to set up its government in Badioa. Col. Abdulhi Yesuf is from majidin tribe which is based on the self declared state of Puntland in the south of the country. The majority of Somalian tribe the Aweys their leader Hassen showed resistance in accepting the government which is un- representative of their tribe and protected the expand its self from Badioa by setting up their own ICU.
The first failed involvement of Meles Zenawi started there in Kenya during the formation of the transitional government. By the help of the west and its former friend shabia to over throw the dictatorial regime of Menigistu he managed to form a Tigrean minority government in Ethiopia by disbanding the army and forming his own and by appointing his own people in key civilian and administrative position in a countries great as Ethiopia.
He assumed he could repeat the same trick in Somalia by bribing the attendant of the Kenya meting to create the transitional government in backing Col. Abdulhi Yesuf because he could manipulate him knowing his background in case of trouble by treating him to expose him if he dosen’t compliance.
The resistance of the majority aweys tribe which is mostly based in Mogadishu in accepting the Abdulhi government made Melese to gamble on his other failer in backing and arming anti ICU warlord’s set up by his dream to divide the tribes in making them fight each other. In this crucial time his big friend US as well as backing him passed the UN resolution in abandoning the arm embargo in Somalia set up by the UN in protecting Somalia for the pretext of arming the warlord’s. The European Union and allies of US backed the resolution by adding their bit in avoiding Somalian neighbours in the future peace keeping force their because if they say no it would show being un-helpful on the war on terror meaning against the Islamic extremist.
The negotation between the ICU and the transtional government ended after attending twice the metting in Sudan the ICU expressing the question on the nutrality of Sudan in the conflict and insisting the withdrawal of Ethiopian troops from Somalia.
There appeared to be a division even among the transitional government in Badioa. After attending their second meting some of the members asking the same question presence of Ethiopian troops being the cause of the problem.
The ICU seemed have the backing of Egypt,Libya,UAE, Djibouti and Eritrea and the backers of the transitional are Uganda,Kenya,Yemen and Ethiopia. So the conflict may involve several countries. But the main backers of the two groups are Eritrea which believed to have around 2000 soldiers and Ethiopia with 10,000 troops inside Somalia and around 20,00 on the boarders. The low scale fight already seemed to start the bombing of Ethiopian army vehicles and skirmishes believed to cause some death in the part of Ethiopia.
The main focus of the ICU the town of Galakayu in the self declared state of Puntland and there believed to be the first big fight will be if it ever start. There is a continuous attempt to resolve the conflict in peaceful way by the Arab league and the west and both the ICU and Ethiopia wont risk war until the last minute but analyst say the war is imminent.

I hope this war will end woyane's rule and unit all Ethiopian under one umbrella.
