Kifle Mulat has given a wonderful speech in London

The absence of Drebew Temesgen Meshasha a human right defender lawyer in Ethiopia refused entry visa by the British Embassy in Addis Ababa as the second guest speaker was paramount. The conduct of the British embassy in Ethiopia should be condemened by any account. It seems to me they're giving the green light to the brutal minority Tigrean government Melese Zenawi as its head. This kind of behaviour shoudn't be tolerated and allowed to strive. As history always teach us the downfall of those who work against the interest of people as a whole is the fact. But it didn't spoile the occassion.
The second guest speaker was Kifle Mulat chairman of the Ethiopian free press journalist exiled in Uganda in fear of prosecution in Ethiopia. Kifle Mulat as the recipient of media free award in year 2004 by Bob Geldof a human right defender ,a key player in the eradication of poverty in africa and part of Tony Blair's team in the africa who had visited Ethiopia made a wonderful speech.
He stressed the need and urgency to free of those human right defenders suffering in Ethiopian jail . He claimed unless urgent action isn't taken the consequence will be dire. He added his own three months terrible story in Ethopian jail as an evidence and that was heart breaking. At the event the guest speakers included Martin Hill from Amenstiy international, Lenord Vicent from Reporterd without borders, Chris Moyel from UK association of journalist and Forard Maisokwazo from EJN.
The representative of Reporters without boarders Lenord announced their plan travel to Addis Ababa in the month of November and planned to visit those who're in jail as well the prime Minster office. But Kifle Mulat again responded to that offer by first giving his full backing and again stressed that need for urgency by advicing them to bring their visit forward.
Martin Hill of Amenisty interntional express his unhappiness on Ethiopian Prime minster and his un willing ness to come to the negotating table by calling the European commision report on the May election as full of garbage. But he added we'll continue to work hard to reverse the situation in Ethiopia now and his objection on the refusal of entery visa to UK of Ethioiapian human right defender lawyer Derebew .
